Karl Zener is a tech-savvy principal of La Habra High School who helped to bring Chromebooks to students. As several recent photos show, however, these Chromebooks are in danger of costing the district millions in repairs and headaches. Here's why.
First off, the photos of the new Chromebooks I saw showed students with new plastic devices and almost no protection. In one photo, there are several students with big smiles using the devices. Another one shows a girl with a soft case in one hand AND HER CHROMEBOOK IN THE OTHER! The cases look cool and light and easy to throw off to the side, yet still bulky enough to be annoying in a backpack. Perfect.
A more perfect solution for Fullerton Joint Union High School District is to find a way to implement Cranium Chromebook Covers. These are permanent. They double as whiteboards. And they work, even when students take their Chromebooks out of the soft cases for photo ops.
