You are a careful craftsman of the trade of teaching. You think about why you do what you do. You use research, your experience, and deep knowledge of content to make your pedagogical decisions.
You have richly contributed to our department: many, many hours of material development for our new English 9; continual creative thinking, bringing new ideas and new ways of thinking to every department meeting; mastery of our resources and how to best use them (both physical resources in our book room and internet resources).
You are the absolute best (and only one) among us at maintaining a useful English department website and at evaluating new programs. With you, our department was technologically edgy.
You have devoted yourself to your teaching and to helping the department.
